Student Intern Job Description
RedTire is a University of Kansas School of Business entrepreneurial program offering experiential learning opportunities to KU students. The business school employs student interns to assist the RedTire director in the day-to-day operations of the program.
The role of the student intern analyst entails:
- Assisting the director in providing quality business and technical consulting services for all RedTire clients.
- The student interns’ analyst obtain an excellent unique experiential learning opportunity.
- Serving over multiple semesters, a commitment requirement of the program, they will receive training during a probationary period so they can apply their skills to multiple projects during their 18 month to 2-year stay at RedTire.
- Working on ‘live real-world’ case scenarios to help successfully transition a business.
- Learning to apply and perform business valuation analyses using established theoretical models and procedures.
By participating, these students are supporting RedTire, an economic development initiative designed to address the shuttering of viable small-and-medium sized businesses throughout the Midwest and beyond.
